THIS APPLICATION IS FINISHED.
LUCERNE BLYTHE WEASLEY
» FULL NAME: lucerne blythe weasley - "lucerne isn't a name that's ever used, but my parents thought it was pretty so i'm stuck with it. blythe was probably some legendary witch that my father knows about but no one else is aware of."
» NICKNAMES: lucy, brownie - "lucy's easier to say than my full name, so i've been stuck with that moniker for a while now. brownie comes from my brown hair. most of my cousins have red hair, but mine's a lot darker than theirs so they crowned me after a dessert."
» AGE: sixteen
» CANON OR ORIGINAL: canon
» HOUSE: gryffindor - "yeahhh, bitches!"
» YEAR: fifth
» BIRTHDAY: july twentieth - "sooo long to seventeen!"
» SEXUALITY: heterosexual
» BLOOD STATUS: halfblood
» PLAY-BY: sophia bush
» HAIR COLOR AND STYLE: "like i said, my hair is more brown than red - unlike most of my family - and i like to keep it around shoulder length or a little longer. as far as curls versus straight? it's really a toss-up, and i don't care. sometimes i'm in the mood for a curly 'do and sometimes i feel like wearing it straight."
» EYE COLOR: "my mother always went on and on about my greenish blue eyes like they were the greatest thing in the world. don't get me wrong, i love the color of my eyes, but it's not enough to send out a daily prophet over or anything."
» HEIGHT AND BODY TYPE: "i'm around five feet, seven inches. i'm proud to say i'm taller than my midget of an older sister. she's a shorty, but i love her. anyway, as far as body type goes, i'd like to picture myself as physically fit with a wee bit of muscle tone, but i'm no body builder or anything. the only thing i dislike about my body is my legs. they're a little thick. i'll have to work on that."
» MARKS: "so considering i'm only sixteen, we're going to agree never to repeat the information i'm about to give you, got it? about a year ago - without my dad's foreknowledge, mind you - i went out and got a tattoo on my lower back. it's a pegasus fighting a dragon, and it's pretty bad ass. i've got both of my ears pierced, and those Dad knows about, but besides those things, that's all i've got on me. pinky swear."
» STYLE: "style is important to me, believe it or not. most witches probably don't care much about it because they're more focused on spells and stuff, but i actually like the mundaneness of fashion. it helps to even out the craziness of the wizarding world if you ask me. as for my personal style, i like to stay on the edge of things, always wearing the most up-to-date fashions that i can get my hands on. but, of course, when i'm just lounging around at home, i'm usually wearing blue jeans and logo tee shirts because, hey, band t-shirts are awesome! don't you deny it."
» LIKES: "there are a lot of things i like, so this is a hard question for me actually. narrowing it down is a bit difficult. overall, i like animals (horses and puppies in particular), the color blue and sometimes indigo, anything athletic (biking, running, snowboarding), the mountains, lakes, being taller than my midget of an older sister (love you, molly!), being with my family, good people who don't do stupid things like try to blow up the world, fashion, politics, deep sea diving, and well, i've already gone over my limit, so yeah."
» DISLIKES: "this one's a lot easier because there are things in the world that are horrible, and those are the things i hate. i hate war above all else. next to that i dislike injustice of all forms, death eaters, death, curses, the color orange (not kidding), reptiles, being alone, and stuff like that."
» STRENGTHS: "i am very outgoing, something that i've always gotten compliments on. i also always try to bring everyone into the group whenever a bunch of people are just hanging around. i like for everyone to be included when at all possible. i'm also very loving, and that has helped to keep my family very close knit through the years and through the hard times. i'm strong-willed which has kept me out of bad circumstances growing up. i also have a pretty gnarly determination which helps me to focus on something and to get things done when they need to be done."
» WEAKNESSES: "my biggest weakness is how easily distracted i am. i'm also very random which leads to my sense of humor getting a little out of hand at times. i also flirt too much which could potentially get me into trouble - at least according to my mother - if i didn't pay attention. on that note, i am also very into guys, and i will fall in love with one of them so quickly, it's embarrassing. i mean, i know it's not true love, but who can resist a hot guy? especially a nice one. probably my other two weaknesses have to be mood swings (i have bad PMS at times, i'll admit it) and rebelliousness. i don't always like doing what the fam tells me to do."
» HABITS: "i bite my nails - so typical - and i bite my bottom lip when i'm nervous or feeling flirty. i also tend to doodle on my paper when i'm bored."
» GOALS: "one day i would like to be a fashion designer. i'd also like to be a mom at some point in my future - that will be a while yet, of course."
» PATRONUS: "my patronus is a siamese cat with brown marks on its face, feet, and its entire tail. it walks tall but not too proudly, and i've noticed that its tail moves according to my moods when i conjure it."
» BOGGART: "my biggest fear is losing my entire family to some sort of disaster. if i lost all of them at once, i would probably just give up on life because i wouldn't want to go on without them. the pain of such an event is too much for me to imagine."
» ERISED: "my greatest desire right now is to graduate from Hogwarts as valedictorian but i want everyone to know me. it seems shallow, but knowing a lot of people is one of my goals in life because, the more people you know the more likely you are to have someone to lean on when you need them most."
» OVERALL PERSONALITY: lucy is a very outgoing girl, and she enjoys being around people. of course, that doesn't mean she wants to be around people at every moment. sometimes, all she can stand is being around her older sister molly who she is very close to. more often than not, however, she is surrounded by a group of friends and fellow students. she's also very friendly, and when it comes to guys, she's extremely flirtacious. she hardly ever gets nervous or shy, but when she's around a guy, it's like she forgets herself and she turns into a little flirt monster.
she has a lot of hobbies, and most of them are athletic. lucy loves being out-of-doors, and her favorite pasttime is snowboarding. often, if she can't be found anywhere else, she's probably apparated herself to the rocky mountains so she can go snowboarding. she thirsts for exercise in all forms, and the thought of being out of shape bothers her. her personal health is an important part of her life.
along with all of this, she is intelligent and she often uses painting as a creative outlet. she's also easily entertained and loves being random as well as random things of any nature. along with painting, she loves music - pretty muchly any genre - and she's even played around with making her own music CD without successfully finishing it.
although she has these positive attributes, there are things about herself that she hates - and other people often hate these things about her as well. she's very flirtacious which has gotten her into some hairy situations throughout her life when guys mistake her intentions. not all guys like the answer 'no'. she's easily distracted and sometimes doesn't listen well because she's thinking about something else entirely when someone is telling her something. she tries her best to be a good listener, but getting bored easily coupled with a short attention span is a recipe for destruction of the 'good listening friend' superlative. along with her tendency for being distracted, she has a very random sense of humor - you yell 'cow' and jump from a burning building, she'll probably laugh before she realizes you need someone to catch you - which annoys people who don't have that same characteristic.
» FATHER: percy weasley
» MOTHER: audrey (née grant) weasley
» SIBLINGS: molly weasley
» OTHER FAMILY: the massive entirety that is the weasley clan
» PETS: n/a
» WEALTH STATUS: "although our family has never been rich, persay, we've been well off since i was a kid. my father has been pretty high up in the ministry since well before i was born, and he makes pretty good money. my mother stays at home even now that molly and i are away at hogwarts for most of the year, so there isn't a combined income to the household. therefore, we're not insanely rich, but i can afford to buy pretty muchly anything i want."
» OVERALL HISTORY: lucy grew up in a loving family consisting of just her parents, her older sister, and herself. the family has always been closely knit, and since childhood lucy has considered her older sister to be her hero and her best friend. when lucy was only five years old, her family took a vacation to nice, france and spent a week at the beachside. one day at the beach, lucy went too deep into the water, and she almost drowned. thankfully, her older sister was watching her closely and saved her life. ever since, lucy has considered molly her personal hero.
from childhood, she has also been very close to her father while molly was more of a mommy's girl. lucy has always respected her father's work in politics - a subject that fascinates her simply because of the nature of her father's work - and when she was a little girl, she would wait expectantly for him to come home so that she could sit on his knee and listen to him tell her all about his day at the ministry. although she was always closer to her dad, lucy still adores her mother and respects her greatly as a mother figure. one day, she wants to be a mother as good as her own, but her nature is more of the adventurous type, unlike her mother who prefers to stay at home.
when lucy turned thirteen, she got her first period, and her moods greatly changed from what they had been when she was younger. she realized she liked the taste of rebellion, and when she hit fourteen and a half, she snuck away from home and got herself a tattoo - something her father would kill her for if he ever found out. even her older sister doesn't know about the tattoo. magic became important to her around that time as well because she figured out she could use cloaking spells to her advantage. of course, she'd already been to hogwarts for a year and was aware of the repercussions for using magic outside of its grounds, but she used very simple spells to hide the mark she had gotten on her body so that her family wouldn't be aware of it.
long before that rebellion, however, she came face-to-face with her first death eater. she wandered away from her family one time while on vacation in france (they vacationed there often when she was a child), and she was almost raped by an evil death eater. she was saved when her patronus arrived - the first time she ever saw it - and attacked the man. she never told anyone about the incident, but she considers it a learning experience and tries not to get in such situations again.
hogwarts has been a lifechanger for lucy. it's the one place where she isn't in the shadow of her family - although she enjoys being in the company of her loved ones, she still likes to be her own person - and she lives life more herself. she's in gryffindor, like most of her relatives before her, and she makes pretty good grades. she's an intelligent girl, but sometimes does focus on her schoolwork as much as she should which has gotten her in trouble with her house head. since being at hogwarts, she's become a better student, and she hopes to one day be valedictorian.

» ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:Tanner was tired. As he climbed the stairs into his bedroom, he only grew more tired as he crossed each step. The bruises and welps on his face were only growing angrier, and the pain in his chest was burning into his lungs. Stepping into his upstairs bathroom, he winced at the sight of himself. He sure was something to see. Tanner shook his head and chuckled slightly, never having imagined that, first, he would ever get into hand-to-hand combat with the architect and secondly that he would ever get whooped or whoop a cripple. He laughed slightly, knowing that Daryn was far from that.
Leaning on the counter that surrounded his sink, Tanner surveyed himself. He certainly was something to ogle, especially if you wanted to make yourself sick. Unable to stand and look at himself for much longer, he turned and decided to skip the wash just to take a quick nap. But, as he passed his bedroom, he realized the pain in his sides and head were preventing him from laying comfortably, and he sighed tiredly. Suddenly, the roof above his head creaked mightily, and Tanner raised an eyebrow as he glanced upward. Rubicon and Lexicon were stirring, their animal senses picking up on the bad weather and urging them to react.
Tanner rolled his eyes and turned from staring into his bedroom to walking painfully downstairs. "Shut up, guys." He tried to urge the puppies to refrain from their noisemaking, but they wouldn't heed his commands. As he shook his head and caught sight of the window on the front of his house, he understood why.
The wind was whipping angrily through the trees outside, and rain pelted the windows of the historian's house. Grimacing as he felt the weight on his feet which affected the bruised areas in his abdomen, Tanner walked over to the window to stare dumbfoundly out of the window. Something inside of him urged him to walk outside, even though his mind knew it was an idiotic thing to do, and he went for the door.
As his hand twisted the doorknob to ease the door open, the wind caught the door and wrenched it from his grasp. The front door slammed into the wall behind it, pinned to the wall by the air that was now pushing and sucking past it simultaneously. Tanner's hair caught on the gusts of wind, and his clothes were tugged until he stumbled into the door frame. The puppies yipped madly and rushed for the door, darting out into the weather in their crazed frenzy. "Rubicon! Lexicon! No!" Tanner reached out for them as his voice got rushed away by the wind, and he stumbled out into the gale.
The rain pelted him now, stinging into his sensitive skin and causing his bloodied wounds to reopen and run down his face. Now, he knew he must look like something off of Van Helsing, but he couldn't pull back into the house with his dogs running crazily across the countryside to get swept away in the tempest. His green eyes searched frantically for the puppies, and he caught a quick glimpse of them just before they dashed off down the road. With a sigh that even he couldn't hear through the wind, Tanner rushed off after his pets as quickly as his wounded form would take him.
The dirt road that led out of the area had turned to sludge, and any tracks that had been made in it by any creature were now history. Tanner trudged through the mud, the liquidy dirt grasping at his ankles as he sunk into it and then heard his foot squelch as he pulled it out. Slipping once, he fell on his hands and knees in the mud, the rain slashing at his back while the watery mud rippled from the powerful wind. But, before long, Tanner could hear barking, and he was confident that Lexicon and Rubicon were nearby.
He followed the barking, the sound hardly audible on the rushing wind, and he wondered just how far he had travelled. It couldn't be too far, but he felt so turned around and beaten from the wind storm that he couldn't judge distance adequately. Suddenly, he slammed into something hard and metallic, and he felt his head swimming as blackness floated in front of his vision. He slumped over onto the object, and the surface squeaked as he slid over it, the rain that had already beaten there reacting with his skin. Trying to regain his consciousness as he felt it slipping away from the constant battering that the storm was giving him, Tanner grasped for anything, and his fingers curled around some sort of rod that ran horizontal to where he thought the ground was.
Blinking his eyes, trying to regain his vision and to rid himself of the rain, the historian tried to judge where he was, but the location made no sense to him. There was a tree nearby, and he appeared to be grasping something that was made out of metal. And, his ears began to pick up on the barking noises once more as he felt the poll that ran through his hand beginning to bob slightly. As more of his awareness returned to him, he felt the rain slashing at him, and he felt the mud running around his ankles. Glancing up to his hand, he realized he was holding tightly to the suitcase rank that ran along the back of an SUV.
An SUV? An SUV like the one he'd seen Daryn driving? And where was that barking coming from. As he grew more accustomed to this strange sight, he noticed movement inside of the battered vehicle. There was Dakota, Daryn's dog, going frantic in the back of the car, but Tanner couldn't see Daryn. Suddenly, smaller barking echoed from outside of the SUV, and Tanner saw his own puppies huddled near the crumpled front of the vehicle, and he grasped carefully on to the luggage rack to maneuver himself into the slippery ditch where the car was lodged.
He lost his balance, his hand slipping from the suitcase rack, and he slid quickly through the mud and into the ditch before he could catch himself. As his extended leg came into contact with the tree trunk where the car had connected, he felt the bone snap, and his leg gave way. Tanner cried out in excrutiating pain as the rain rushed down over his face and began to mingle with the blood that was now coming from his left leg. Lexicon rushed to him, yipping wildly, trying to care for him but also worried about the man in the car. As Tanner's face came up, his breathing growing labored as his mind clouded with pain, his eyes widened as he saw Daryn curled up in the front of the car.
Miraculously, the SUV had crumpled around him, and although leaving him trapped, it had simultaneously spared him from death. A lower limb of the tree had snapped off through the windshield, jabbing through the passenger-side seat and sending stuffing into the back seat not far from the frantic dog within. Breathing irratically, Tanner struggled to stand, but he simply slipped in the mud and felt the horrible pain in his leg once more. He cursed beneath his breath as he felt another whip of the wind, and the rain pelted his face harshly once more. Pushing up on his arms, his determination winning out over the pain, he dug his fingers into the ground to reach the harder ground beneath the mud. The mud filled his fingernails, and Tanner pulled with his upper body strength to ease himself up to the teetering car.
Grabbing the crumpled car's door which creaked warily from his weight, Tanner reached for the handle and pulled on it. The door was bent inward, but the extra weight on the outside helped to dislodge it. As he did so, he hoped that Daryn's limp head wouldn't fall out through the door, but he was determined to catch the other man if that happened. With the door now open, Tanner squelched through the mud and reached up for Daryn's body. Thankfully, the other man was slighter of build and didn't weigh as much, so Tanner couldn't handle him easier than if it had been Daryn trying to help him. Seeing that Daryn's legs were trapped beneath the steering column, Tanner winced, and he bit his lip against the pain in his left leg. He tried to focus, but the pain was excruciating, and the storm wasn't about to let up to make this process easier on him. Rain pelted the now open door, echoing like monotonous drum beats on the leather on the arm rest of the mutilated door.
Leaning over Daryn, the historian reached for the lever that lay on the side of every vehicle's steering column that would propel the column upward. His fingers grazed it, but the height that the car was inclined prevented him from freeing the lever. His broken leg wouldn't permit him to raise up higher to free it either. Lifting his arms over his head, he grasped to the door's top and pulled on it. The car whined dangerously, and as Tanner lifted himself to reach the column, he knew he had to work speedily. Quickly, releasing one hand and grabbing for the lever at the same time, he grasped it and wrenched it upward in one sweep. His arm that was holding to the door frame gave out, and the historian fell back to his feet, his left leg crumpling as the pain shot through the limb from the fall. Tanner cried out and looked up quickly to see where the act had gotten him, the rain pummelling his face.
Blind from water, Tanner reached up to wipe his muddy arm across his face, panting heavily from a mixture of pain and exhaustion. As he watched, Daryn's body seemed to be tilting toward him, the half-conscious architect incapable of holding himself up longer. Pushing up in the mud and screaming out in pain, Tanner extended his arms just in time to feel the slight-built architect fall into his arms. Stumbling backward, he almost fell with Daryn in his grasp, but he heard the creaking of the car as the weight of the man had been removed. The SUV jerked, the rushing mud pushing against it and threatening to send it rolling down the embankment and into Tanner and Daryn.
Tanner couldn't move however. As he stepped again, his left leg gave out once more, the bone fractured and incapable of holding his weight and the other man. Hearing the frantic barking once more, Tanner, breathing heavily and irratically, lifted his head to see Dakota floundering in the back of the car. Rubicon and Lexicon rushed toward their owner, jumping about, still half-crazed from the wild storm that had raged about them and left them looking as bedraggled possums. "Dakota... climb out, girl. Get out before it's too late." Tanner's voice was whipped away by the wind as it gusted past him, also pushing the fateful blow to the SUV that tilted in the mud, about to give way.
Suddenly, a loud creak and sucking sound echoed from the truck, and Tanner gasped as the SUV began leaning over and coming toward him. Dropping his head instantly to cover Daryn's half-conscious body with his own, Tanner's hands dove into the mud, and he lay flat on Daryn's chest as the mud around him rippled and splashed angrily from the sounds of the vehicle.
At that precise moment, another strong burst of the hurricane force winds slashed across the area, catching the turning car and catapulting it over the two men and sending it crashing wildly into the trees beyond them. Lexicon and Rubicon yipped wildly, and Tanner didn't even dare to lift his head to see the outcome.
