Dear Mister Arkwright,
Distractions are such lovely things, aren't they? Even if they last only briefly, it's always nice to get away from things for just a little while. If you'd like, I'll be your distraction. Do you enjoy poetry? If so, do you have a favorite poem? And if so, would you like to share it? Or at least the name or author? As for me, I dislike poetry. It's probably just because I'm no good at writing it, but still... I must admit, there are some pretty beautiful poems out there. My favorite of all time is Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe. I don't know if you would be familiar with him, since it's muggle literature, but I figured I might as well share anyway. You're the Magical Creatures professor, aren't you? If you don't mind me asking, what sort of creatures do you tend? Anything new? Or dangerous? Or something rare and dark and secret that I shouldn't know about? Hope to hear from you soon.

your cold pale skin and tainted purple lips LET ME EMBRACE YOU WITH THIS KISS dear cassie, [/size] no, I must say I don't have a favorite poem. I do enjoy reading, but I suppose my mind has never wandered far into the world of sonnets and haikus. plus, it'd be rude to bore someone who doesn't like poetry anyhow, wouldn't it? I believe I have heard of poe, however. he's the one who wrote the tell-tale heart, is he not? good piece of literature. in fact, I, for one, felt a bit mad after reading it, haha. and, yes, miss, I am the care of magical creatures professor. well, we've got a few manticores - awful little buggers, I tell you - and some fire-crabs. I intend to breed them to create one of the muchly hated blast-ended skrewts for some new lesson plans. but, otherwise, not much going on - or, at least, they probably wouldn't be interesting to anyone but me - and certainly nothing for you to be suspicious about.

Dear Professor Arkwright,
Yes, Poe is the one who wrote Tell-Tale Heart. He had a morbid sense of humor, but I suppose that's why he's so loved today. It's slightly disheartening. But we should talk of happier things. I'm so glad you've nothing I should be concerned about. Just one less thing. I don't think I've ever heard of a blast-ended skwert. They sound, um... interesting. I haven't taken your magical creatures course yet. I really should hop on that. I'm nearly primped and plumed and ready to leave Hogwarts. Might as well take as many strange and exotic courses as I can, hm? Professor Arkwright, if you were an animal, which would it be and why? Sorry for the strange question. I'm just... remembering thinking. Good luck with those skrewts.
