Dear Michael,
I suppose it's a nice day in the eyes of most people. I personally prefer the rain, so today is just a normal day for me. Well, as far as weather goes, at least. I suppose it was fairly normal as far as classes go, too. I mean I didn't learn anything particularly new. Just review stuff. You know how it is. The grueling process of learning.
Anyway, I'm Cassie, just in case you were wondering. I'm a Hufflepuff, sixth year. If you don't mind me asking, what's your favorite poem? Mine's Anabel Lee, by Edgar Allen Poe. Of course, that's muggle literature, so you might not be familiar with it... If you ever hear it mentioned, you should check it out. It is truly touching, in a morbid sort of way. Poe liked the gruesome stuff.
But it seems that I've been rambling. I tend to do that when writing down my thoughts. I'm sorry. Maybe I'll hear from you again soon? I hope so. :]

I don't mind the rain, but only when I'm indoors and currently, since I'm on the Quidditch Pitch, rain would kind of suck. A lot. And classes were fairly boring today, as usual =P.
It's nice to meet you Cassie, I'm Michael. A Seventh year Ravenclaw. I think I've seen you around, although I'm not entirely sure. I'm not great with names and faces, especially of people I don't properly know. Pretty little blonde thing, yes?
I recognise that name, the author I mean. I do have a muggle mother who loves her poetry. I, however, am not as a big of a fan of the stuff.
I don't mind a bit of a ramble (: I'm a good listener most of the time. And I'm good at keeping secrets, just in case you had any. But it was nice to hear from you. - - Michael

Dear Michael,
Awfully nice to hear from you as well. And yes, that pretty little blonde thing would be me. :P I don't think I know anyone named Michael at Hogwarts... I'm sorry. Perhaps we'll meet in person sooner or later. Or perhaps you shall remain faceless forever. Whichever comes first.
It's a pity you're not fond of poetry. But that's okay, because I'm not either. I think it's just that one... No, there are a few others, but generally, I'm not a fan, either. I think my least favorite thing to do of all time is write poetry. I'm a wretched poet. Well, not really. I could be okay if I tried, I suppose, I just hate doing it. Almost as much as I hate typing programs and science fairs. Thank god I'm done with elementary school. :P
If you're not into poetry, surely you enjoy music. What type of music do you like? We might have something in common. :]

Writing poetry always seemed me like such a hassle. Poets always have something deep and meaningful to say in the shortest of paragraphs, I'd much prefer to write a novel and to read one as well. But that's neither here nor there since I don't really have to read nor write any poems or novels and songs or anything.
And in the way of music well I like most sorts, except for perhaps country. I'm not so big on country. Being a halfblood I was brought up listening to a lot of muggle bands so I don't know how familiar you would be with any of them. Music from the wizarding world has always seemed so far fetched and too strange for my liking. Muse is a band I quite like, but for the most part it depends on what sort of mood I'm in as to what I'll listen to. What about yourself? - - Michael

Dear, Michael
Hmmm, yes. The mystery is rather intriguing. You make it sound so exciting. But there's no hurry, now is there? Unless you'd like to meet me very soon. I wouldn't have a problem with that. It'd be fun. I'd bet you're pretty adorable. :]
You word your feelings about poetry better than I do, but that's about how I feel about it, yes. Just a big hassle. My mind has trouble working around it. Though, I wouldn't like to write a whole novel... I'm more of a visual artist. I enjoy drawing and I paint a bit, too. :]
My dear friend, I think we have more in common than we initially thought. I listen to just about any sort of music, but I just can't seem to stand country. It seems as if half of the songs in that genre are just men complaining about how their girls left them... and the other half is men singing about drinking and more women. It's really quite meaningless to me. Plus, I just don't like the sound. Perhaps that's just me being a city girl.
Don't worry, I'm a halfblood as well, so I'm quite familiar with muggle bands, including Muse. I don't really think I would be considered a fan, but I can certainly tolerate them. They just seem a bit strange to me and I can't understand a word they're saying. Not like wizarding bands are much different, though. You're right, some of them are rather odd, but that's just the culture. I rather enjoy the strange bands, though, bands like the Beatles. They're rather strange, but they also have some very touching songs.
But I've written too much. You're probably getting tired of reading. Just a question to leave you with: Do you know how you came to be named Michael? I would love to hear the story if you're willing to tell it. :]
